Bot’Ox ‘Blue Steel EP’

Great EP and video by Bot’Ox, creating moody electronic soundscapes perfect for moonlit drives down dark stretches of highway.

After having had big-time success in solo-careers, Benjamin Boguet and Julien Briffaz decided to start working together as Bot’Ox, choosing to focus on the aesthetic and lifestyle surrounding transportation and the result is a true icy ode to the machine age.

While the majority of their tracks are instrumental, ‘Blue Steel’ (out on I’m a Cliche Records) features vocals by singer Anna Jean. And keeping their concept in mind, they hired Swiss design firm ‘Körner Union‘ to direct the video for the song, a slow-motion exploration of what happens when a station wagon meets various pool noodles and flotation devices. ‘The idea was to create a shock between objects which creates nothing violent’, Boguet says. ‘A paradox of the idea of an accident, but with no damage at all.
