Ryan McGinley’s Somewhere Place

For his latest solo exhibition, his human subjects are posed by the American photographer with animals to get a number of cinematic, crazy and emotional pictures

Photographer Ryan McGinley’s work has permanently proven the pleasure to be totally within the time, independence as well as childhood. He’s taken us all over the world, from rural American areas to seemingly otherworldly underground caves and today he’s taken us to Someplace Location, the name of his new exhibit in the Galerie Gabriel Rolt, by which he examines a deeper, but no less exciting, sphere.

In his second solo exhibition within the Netherlands since his much discussed exhibit at FOAM, his work goes into much more cinematic area, offering the natural and astonishing times between individuals and pets and, once we found, may be the first-time McGinley has integrated color studio photography.
