Nanna van Blaaderen is a talented Dutch textile designer who’s beautiful knitted garments, that are really pieces of art (hence the fact that her knitwear is part of several art collections), feature elements that are inspired by nature, organic forms and animal life. Really loving the looks of the fabrics, that must feel really nice and soft and it’s good to see that the greatness of the works is not only recognised in the Netherlands but also internationally, resulting in a collaboration with the highly regarded Maison Martin Margiela and various other international clients.
This collection shown here, which is called ‘More or Less’, is my favorite, but she also has another great & new collection called ‘Species’, that you can find here.
Nanna’s works are currently exhibited at Textile Museum Tilburg until September 2011 and she recently (last week actually) had an exhibition at Droog Gallery Amsterdam.
Also liking the great photos by Pablo Delfos.
