Love what Berlin based artist Vermibus does to show his art, he kidnaps ads from billboards around Berlin’s Potsdammer platz, takes them home, transforms them into artworks and puts them back into place.

Although the artworks look like paintings, they are really completely the opposite. The works are created by using solvent, brushing away the faces and flesh of the models appearing in the posters, as well as the brand logos. Thus the technique is not adding, but removing. Depersonalizing models that are already depersonalized by advertising companies.

Really really nice.
